Donation Letter

Dear

Thank you for allowing me this opportunity to introduce you to a great organization and extend an invitation to be a part of it.

Young Life has been providing teens with opportunities for new hope and growth in the Christian faith here in Federal Way for 6 years.  We are a no-frills, non-profit organization with 2 paid employees and 35 plus trained volunteers.

HERE’S WHAT WE DO:
-We help teens see their value and purpose in a confusing world by sharing meaningful, educational experiences by spending time with them.
- We provide a safe, fun place to hang out at Young Life Club, held on Monday Nights.
-We promote healthy adventure at camp:  camping, zip lines, ropes courses, and lots of outdoor fun.
-We offer small group Bible studies to challenge and provide a solid foundation for growth into adulthood.

Many of the kids who participate have never experienced anything like this before.  Over 250 kids a week come to Young Life’s activities.

HERE’S HOW YOU CAN HELP:
As a business leader in our community, you can help us to reach more kids with the Young Life ministry.  On May 7th, 2011 we will hold our annual Young Life Dessert Auction in Federal Way. The Dessert Auction includes silent auction of special items and a live auction of dessert and sponsorship of a Young Life kid to attend camp this summer. We will also have entertainment. If you would like to give an item, basket or dessert to be auctioned, you can call us at 253-946-5902 or send it to the Young Life Office using the attached procurement form.

All proceeds of the auction will go directly to the kids and our camp funds. Our kids will be attending Washington Family Ranch, Creekside and RockRidge Canyon this year. The Facilities are state of the art. Young Life provides an amazing experience at camp. What campers often say is that YoungLife camp  “the best week of your life.” Camp gives kids the opportunity to leaves stresses of home behind, swim, zip line, wakeboard, and be a carefree again. We have over 100 people attending this Dessert Auction. As a sponsoring business you are invited as well.  If you are interested in attending please call or email the Federal Way Young Life office.

These kids are worth your investment.  Please help us to help them.  Thank you very much!

Sincerely,

Procurement Form

RoundUp Follow Up

able Hosts of the 2011 Federal Way Young Life Round Up!

I want to say a BIG thank you for all of your help!  I hope you and your
guests all had a GREAT evening!

I don't know about you but I had a wonderful time and really sensed the Lord
the whole night!  Kids shared their hearts, leaders (and some of the
audience) danced in our flash mob, Jesus was shared and money was raised.

Actually, we brought in exactly  $133,058!!!! God is soooo good!  This is an
amazing testimony as to how faithful God has been to this mission!  Thank
you all for your participation - this night would definitely not have
happened if it weren't for all of you.

I do have one question that I'd like to throw out your way.  In our office
we have put together packets for people who couldn't make it to our event.
Do you know of people who either accidentally missed the RU or were unable
to attend?  If so, would you mind passing along any contact information for
them...an address or even phone number.  We'd love to send them some
information.  In the packet will be a letter about the event, a table
program from the evening, FWYL info and a personal interest/financial giving
form.

Again, thank you all for contributing to such a wonderful celebration of
what God is doing in Federal Way!
